During winter when the forests are naked, it's easy to see through the woods. From my garage I can see my in-law's house. It is actually nearer through the woods than on the road.
I have been browsing several catalogues of plants, hopefully to order seeds by 2nd or 3rd week of February, and start the seedlings indoors by the end of the month.
Here's a list of the catalogues that I have on hand:
Manang is a Filipina transplanted from Metro Manila, Philippines to rural Maine. This blog mainly features observation around my surroundings which is so different from where I grew up in. While Metro Manila was a very congested and heavily polluted area, Maine is a refreshing and welcome change! Trees dominate the sceneries, most animals freely roam and are respected -- squirrels, skunks, deer, moose, etc. Here I get to see bees and birds and flowers, inhale the clean air, drink clean water from our well...And the people in our small community are very polite. This state is a wonderful place to live in and an ideal place to raise our children.
