A Filipina's journal in gardening and anything about plants, environment and nature in general

This is Ana's garden, which her mom started for her. Her mom says Ana has no interest in gardening. I could empathize with Ana in that she has her hands full already with two daughters aged less than 2 years and a month-old. A closer look at some of the other flower plants there...
Manang is a Filipina transplanted from Metro Manila, Philippines to rural Maine. This blog mainly features observation around my surroundings which is so different from where I grew up in. While Metro Manila was a very congested and heavily polluted area, Maine is a refreshing and welcome change! Trees dominate the sceneries, most animals freely roam and are respected -- squirrels, skunks, deer, moose, etc. Here I get to see bees and birds and flowers, inhale the clean air, drink clean water from our well...And the people in our small community are very polite. This state is a wonderful place to live in and an ideal place to raise our children.
