i have the same red flower (the one in the middle). in fact, i have managed to cultive a large bed of them from just two small plants. sorry, i forgot their name but you can come across most of their names at http://www.fernlea.com. although they thrive in shade -- i have noticed that if placed under direct sun, they tend to grow very fast -- multiplying until you realize they've overcrowded themselves!! gardening has become my latest hobby, and i am enjoying the discovery of propagating plants by cutting!! now i have several vines i have managed to cultivate and i'm planning to have them cover the walls at some point. my greatest joy remain the campanulas -- simple bellflowers (white and purple), as well as the ordinary impatiens. they have been blooming strongly despite the bad weather out here!
i also have the lupine -- lage lupine russel variety -- which i planted sometime in july (rather late). i grew them straight from seeds and they still managed to catch up on blooming this august. they're lovely splotches of colors! my next purchase will be an anjia -- known to bloom until december -- and therefore, perfect for winter. =)
